Types of burial
More about each option — the process, what to consider and the costs.
Traditional burial of the body in a coffin at a cemetery — in a row grave or a chosen family plot.
Learn moreThe body is cremated and the ashes are placed in an urn. This form of burial offers more flexibility in choosing the final resting place.
Learn moreInterment of an urn in a designated woodland — Friedwald or Ruheforst. Nature itself takes care of the grave.
Learn moreThe urn is laid to rest at the foot of a personally chosen tree in a designated burial forest such as Friedwald or RuheForst — nature itself becomes the resting place.
Learn moreThe ashes are committed to the sea in an urn at least three nautical miles from the shore. A symbol of freedom and unity with nature.

Frequently asked questions
In Germany, the options are ground burial, cremation with urn burial, woodland burial (Friedwald, RuheForst) and sea burial. We will explain each option and help you choose the right one for your family.
As a rule, the burial must take place within 4 to 10 working days after death, depending on the federal state. We coordinate all steps promptly.
With a row grave, the cemetery administration assigns the location, and one person is buried in it. With a selected plot, you may choose the location yourself; it is also suitable for a family burial, and the right of use can be renewed.
The cost depends on the type of burial, the cemetery and the services chosen. With a ground burial, the long-term costs of the plot and grave upkeep should also be taken into account. We calculate the costs in advance and agree the price with you.
If you need help arranging a funeral, call us. We are available around the clock and will tell you what to do next.
